How your business can benefit
The Dales Tourism Network is an informal network of tourism and hospitality businesses. Our focus is on Yorkshire Dales tourism marketing, product development and supporting local businesses. We're working together on carefully-targeted, practical, and quirky promotional activities to attract visitors and increase revenue from tourism in the Yorkshire Dales.
We undertake destination marketing and support for all of the Yorkshire Dales, including the Yorkshire Dales National Park, Nidderdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and the fringe areas. We like to act as a catalyst for as many other activities as possible.
Practical support to grow your business
We're currently developing our business support resources and will shortly add more to this site. We can also offer low cost tourism marketing support packages from The Tourism Network.
Promoting the Yorkshire Dales
Our ethos is simple: to work collaboratively using more energy and enthusiasm than cash. We've identified what we need to do and are now working on key marketing activities.
We manage the Dales Discoveries and Dales Celebrations websites and newsletter. We think the Yorkshire Dales are a particularly happy and healthy place to live, and want to share the joy with visitors - so we've created the Yorkshire Dales Guide to Health & Happiness (will take a while to download). We'd love you to link to it here
What we've achieved so far
Recent initiatives have included the hugely successful Lost Sheep in Yellow Jerseys, trying to Rainproof the Yorkshire Dales, and our original project funded by Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority and Nidderdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty focusing on local distinctiveness called Distinctly Dales. We're now working to promote the Yorkshire Dales as a destination for family celebrations such as 50th birthdays, weddings and other private gatherings.
Fixed price marketing support packages
We can offer businesses a range of fixed price marketing support packages. All profits from these go to help support our Dales Tourism Network projects and initiatives. Just click on the images below for more details.
