100% pure new wool. Heavyweight knitted fabric. Thumb holes on cuffs. Regular fit. The Andersen-Andersen Navy Crew Neck— knitted using ultra-heavy pure new wool, this might have more in common with chainmail than knitwear, and is not only windproof, but probably harpoon-proof too. Weighing in at around 1.5 kg, it may sound a bit unwieldy, but thanks to its great fit (a lot less restricting than some nautical-knits), it’s actually super-comfortable. Andersen-Andersen describe it as ‘a sailor sweater that can be inherited’, which might be true, but they’re so good we’d rather take them to the grave.
