About the Dales Tourism Business Network
The Dales Tourism Business Network is an informal network of tourism and hospitality businesses co-ordinated on a voluntary basis by Susan Briggs at the Tourism Network, with the support of Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority (YDNPA) and Nidderdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (NAONB).
There's no charge to participate for tourism providers to join us. We worked with YDNPA & NAONB on the successful Distinctly Dales project . Members can use these local distinctiveness resources to benefit their business. We organise informative and fun networking events and run low cost collaborative marketing activities, such as the popular rain initiative (we tried to stop it, not encourage more rain!) Tourism businesses can benefit from our irregular newsletter and free/low cost resources. Much of the work we do is on a voluntary or speculative basis, such as the "Yorkshire Dales Guide to Health and Happiness" but we're lucky enough to receive funding for some specific projects such as Woollen Hills. We're careful not to duplicate activities of other organisations but to add value where we can. Here's an explanation of how we work. The Dales Tourism Business Network is open and free to any tourism business sucha s accommodation providers, visitor attractions, shops, pubs, restaurants and craftspeople working in the Yorkshire Dales. We reserve the right to make a charge to suppliers to the industry such as photographers, designers, web developers, PR companies etc. |
